Join believers from across the Riverbend for a powerful night of worship and united prayer over our nation, leaders, and community.
We are living in a time of deep division, uncertainty, and spiritual need. Families are burdened, leaders are under pressure, and our communities are longing for something real—something that brings us together and points us upward.
Prayer is not a last resort. It’s our first response.
The National Day of Prayer is a call to pause, gather, and seek the Lord together—not just for ourselves, but for our city, our state, and our nation.
This night matters because it reminds us that:
God hears when His people pray.
Unity is still possible when Christ is at the center.
Hope can rise when the Church lifts its voice together.
As we gather across denominational lines, across generations, and across backgrounds, we declare one truth: our only true hope is in Christ.
This isn’t just a program. It’s a moment of alignment. A night of surrender. A gathering with eternal impact.
We believe God moves when we pray—and we’re inviting you to be part of it.
When you walk into the gymnasium at Riverbend Christian Leadership Academy on the evening of May 1, you’ll be stepping into something bigger than an event—you’ll be stepping into a movement of prayer and unity across the Riverbend.
This evening is designed to draw the community together in humble, Spirit-led worship and intercession. Here’s what you can expect:
Join us from 5pm-6pm for a Fellowship Reception prior to guided prayer and worship.
Enjoy light refreshments and connect with local missions that are making a real impact across the Riverbend. Meet the people behind the ministries, hear their stories, and discover how God is working through His people to strengthen our community.
Throughout the night, trusted spiritual leaders will guide us in short, powerful prayers over key areas that shape our world, including:
State & Local Government – Mayors, governors, and elected officials
Churches & Pastors – Unity, boldness, and sound doctrine
Families & Marriages – Strength, healing, and protection
First Responders & Medical Workers – Those on the front lines every day
Military & Veterans – Honoring those who serve and have served
Schools – Public, private, and homeschool communities
Media & Arts
– For truth, influence, and creativity to reflect righteousness
The Lost & the Church’s Mission – To fulfill the Great Commission
Woven throughout the evening, United to Revive (a worship team made of many local worship teams) will lead us in heartfelt praise and reflection. These times of song are more than music—they’re moments to lift our eyes, prepare our hearts, and worship our Lord and Savior in unity.
Whether you’re coming with your church, your family, or on your own—you’ll be warmly welcomed. This gathering is open to everyone in the community, regardless of denomination, background, or where you are in your walk with God.
Rooted in the mission of raising confident Christian leaders, Riverbend Christian Leadership Academy serves families in the Riverbend region through Christ-centered education and community outreach. Hosting this event is part of our vision to see churches, families, and leaders united in prayer and purpose.
Now more than ever, our communities, our leaders, and our families need prayer.
The National Day of Prayer Gathering at Riverbend Christian Leadership Academy is more than just an event—it’s a moment for believers across the Riverbend to come together, lift up one voice, and seek the Lord for healing, wisdom, and revival.
This is your invitation to stand in unity with local churches, civic leaders, families, and fellow believers. Whether you were a part of the Down by the Riverside National Day of Prayer at the Alton Amphitheater last year or this is your first time, you are welcome here.
Don’t miss this opportunity.
Come with your church, your small group, your neighbor, or on your own. Just come ready to pray, worship, and believe for God to move.

The 2024 National Day of Prayer event at the Alton Amphitheater was an unforgettable day of prayer, unity, worship and God’s powerful presence. His blessing was evident in every detail, and we’re deeply grateful to host the event again this year. While things may look a little different, we pray God’s hand will be on it once again as we lift up our community in prayer. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing volunteers who made it all possible. What a blessing you are and we pray that you will join us again this year!
